Welcome

On behalf of our entire school team, I would like to welcome you to Freegrounds Junior School.

We are a friendly community who work closely with the other schools in the Wildern Partnership, particularly Freegrounds Infant School, where the majority of our pupils join us from.

We recognise the individuality of all our pupils and aspire for them to be happy, engaged learners. It is our aim that when children leave us they will be respectful, curious, confident, successful and aspirational. These are the school’s core values and they underpin the vision and purpose of what we do.

Our curriculum is designed to enthuse and inspire children so that they are keen to increase their knowledge and understanding of the world around them. In addition, we also celebrate and develop our pupils’ skills as learners, such as their resilience or ability to think creatively, so that they are fully equipped to tackle any of the learning challenges that lie ahead of them.

We hope that you find the website a useful source of information. If you are interested in visiting our school, please contact the office who can arrange a time for you to do so.

Ryan O’Hearn

Pupils are happy, feel safe and say that all adults are kind. The school's values of aspire, believe and achieve are ingrained throughout the school. Pupils rise to the challenges set. They work hard in their lessons and listen well.
