Friday 8th June 2018

Your Spelling Rule

This week’s words have unusual letter combinations. It might help to write the word out and identify the tricky part, then think of a way to remember this.

 Your Spelling Words in sentences

  • Our teacher has a system for organising our physical education lessons.
  • People in the gardening profession grow incredible vegetables.
  • We try to be cooperative and not awkward.

Please learn spellings ready for a test on Thursday 14th June

Tables – You will be tested on your 11 times table. You will be given 10 multiplication questions (e.g. 9 x11=) to answer in 1 minute. If you score 10/10, you will earn a housepoint.

Remember, you can also practise your multiplication tables on Times Table Rockstars – https://ttrockstars.com/login

Reading – You should also ensure you are reading to an adult at home at least 3 times a week and record this in your home school diary. Remember 20 reads = a house point!

Homework- This week’s homework is Numeracy. In class, we have been looking at the properties of 2D and 3D shapes. Please see the additional sheet – Visualise 3D shapes – for further instructions and questions. Please pick a level that is suitable to your understanding in class.
